We use Google’s G-Suite product for email which includes Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt and protect email traffic. If your email service does not support TLS, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit. We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software.

The legal basis for this processing is Legitimate Interests – we require this information in order to respond to your enquiry and provide a service.


If you agree to receive email marketing by completing the sign-up forms on our website or social media, we collect your name and email address. We will use this to send you information about Woocontent products and services as well as special offers.

The legal basis for this processing is Consent – when you sign up to receive email marketing you will explicitly give us permission to process your data for this purpose. You can withdraw this consent at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the emails, or by contacting us by email.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we may send you marketing communications from us if

Email marketing campaigns may contain tracking facilities within the email. This allows Woocontent to analyse the performance of emails (number of opens, links clicked etc) and improve our communications to subscribers.


When you purchase our goods or services we collect relevant information such as your name, email address, contact phone number, delivery/postal address. We use this data to provide you with the goods/services requested, and keep a record of transactions.

The legal basis for this processing is Contract – we require this information in order to provide you with the goods/services you require.


If you pay via BACS we only receive the information the bank uses to identify the payment, such as a name and/or reference number.

Payment gateways and other payment transaction processors (such as Stripe and PayPal) have their own privacy policies in respect to the information they collect for your purchase-related transactions.


Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, information about your health sexual orientation, and whether you have a criminal record.

We do not collect any sensitive data about you.


We use mainstream software to manage customer records, send emails, manage financial records etc. This means much of our data is held on servers within the US by suppliers who are part of the EU-US Privacy Shield, which requires them to provide protection similar to GDPR.

Records will be regularly reviewed to ensure that data is not held longer than necessary.
